This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you.....

Well. First post, where to start? I wanted to write this blog for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I struggle to run. I struggle to find the time, the motivation, to stay clear of injuries. I struggle with a lot of things, including weight and lifestyle.

In a former life I was a Royal Marine. I am now the Managing Diretor of a financial organisation providing a portfolio of bespoke services to the recruitment industry. Its obvioulsy a difficult time to be in business, and the day to day grind of bulding an operation, while reacting to the uncertain and changeable nature of the economic environment is a drain on both my time and my limited mental resources! In actual fact, the workload, stress and required commitment for all involved has been intense.

I have three boys. At 12, 8 and 6 they are demanding, again of time but also emotionally. My wife, the better (by far) half of me, is a trainee doctor, currently studying for finals.

We're also renovating an old victorian house. Its taking way too long, costing way to much and although progress is now visible, its been a long 5 year slog with more than a few 'debates' along the way.



Currently at nearly 16 stone I want to record my efforts to shed the pounds and get fit again. The blog should keep me motivated........I hope.
